Family Retreats

At I See You, we cultivate a therapeutic environment where children, adolescents, and families feel recognised, supported, and empowered. Our goal is to promote emotional safety, meaningful connection, and enduring change — meeting families exactly where they are, and helping them reconnect with hope and resilience.

This programme is suitable for families with both young and adult children.

Mission

Our mission is to provide compassionate, developmentally attuned, and family-centred therapy for children and adolescents with a wide range of emotional, behavioural, and neurodevelopmental needs. Drawing on extensive clinical experience and evidence-informed approaches, we support healing, strengthen relationships, and guide families through complex life challenges in a way that is respectful, engaging, and deeply human.

Our  Methods  Include

Younger Children

Theraplay-informed sessions conducted alongside parents to strengthen attachment, emotional regulation, and relational trust.

Adolescents

Individual therapy as well as dyadic, sibling, and full-family sessions to support autonomy while maintaining relational connection.

Family Integration

Intentional inclusion of caregivers and family systems to support lasting change beyond the therapy setting.

Method

Our work is grounded in the belief that healing occurs within safe, supportive relationships. Clinicians in this program bring extensive experience working with children and adolescents presenting with Autism, ADHD, attachment disorders, PTSD, OCD, and related challenges. This expertise allows us to effectively engage young people and their families in ways that feel accessible, positive, and affirming.

Therapeutic work with children is guided by the PACE model—Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, and Empathy—ensuring that sessions are emotionally safe, relationally focused, and developmentally appropriate.

What to Expect

Families arrive with different roles, and often very different understandings of why they are here. Our first priority is to make everyone — including the youngest family members — feel that this is a safe place, not somewhere they are being assessed or corrected.

Before you arrive, Gaylin will speak with parents or guardians to understand the full family picture and shape the programme accordingly. During the intensive, sessions move between dedicated parent time, individual work with children and adolescents, and whole-family sessions — structured around what each day requires, not a fixed agenda.

Alexandra Aragão's yoga, meditation, and forest bathing sessions are woven throughout, giving younger participants in particular a way into the work that feels natural and enjoyable rather than clinical.

Evenings are yours — unhurried, unscheduled, and often where the most unexpected moments of connection happen.
